4th International Marine Bioinvasion Conference (MBI C), Wellington, NZ; August, 2005

The 4th International Marine Bioinvasion Conference (MBIC)

will be held at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand from Wednesday 24th of August through Friday 26th of August, 2005. 

The deadline for abstracts for oral and poster presentations is June 17th 2005. 

Topics for the 2005 MBIC meeting include:
-Ecological and Evolutionary Effects of Marine Invasions
-Transport Vectors and Patterns of Dispersion
-Ecosystem and Economic Impacts
-Education and Outreach Initiatives

Both the 2005 New Zealand Marine Sciences Society (NZMSS) and MARGINS will be holding their meetings concurrently with MBIC under the broader theme "Human Impacts in the Marine Environment."  Registration for all meetings starts on Monday August 22nd and the 2005 NZMSS conference begins the meetings on Tuesday, August 23rd.
