International PhD  Student Symposium on Environmental Biology

As  environmental studies are of high priority for the European Community, extensive  research projects are supported throughout Europe, constituting a large part of the European Research  Area (ERA). Knowledge Production on Environmental studies through a biological  point of view is constantly increasing and thus the need for Vertical and  Horizontal Integration is becoming of greater importance. New researchers  working on fields of Environmental Biology could benefit from participating in  events aiming to provide Knowledge Transfer from a multidisciplinary point of  view.
  
A  series of events, consisting of one conference and several Training Courses,  are to be held at the Aristotle  University of Thessaloniki, Greece in June 2007 with the  participation of international leading researchers as keynote speakers. Aim of  these events is to provide a key aspect on the value of:

• Multidisciplinary in environmental studies
• New and emerging Science and Technology (NEST)
• Technology Transfer
• Innovation Policy
• Interaction in-between new researchers and between new and experienced researchers

Eligible participants are new researchers at PhD level from around the globe, working on fields of Environmental Biology
