Third IGCP 495 Meeting

"Quaternary Land-Ocean Interaction: Natural and Human Forcings on Coastal Evolution"

You are invited to register for the third international conference of IGCP Project 495 "Quaternary Land-Ocean Interaction: Driving Mechanisms and Coastal Responses", to be hosted by the The Federal University of Paraná and the University of Vale do Itajaí, Brazil.

The conference will be held at the Hotel Plaza Camboriú, located in Balneário Camboriú, in Southern Brazil, followed by three days of fieldtrips to Tijucas, Balneário Camboriú, Itajaí, Piçarras, Sai-Guaçu, Guaratuba, Matinhos, Paranaguá, Ilha do Mel, Pontal do Sul, Graciosa Road and Curitiba. The region presents a rich variety of coastal environments, being ideally suited for the study of barriers, estuaries, shoreface and innershelf, sea-level changes, sedimentary budgets and human impacts.
